Is this situation dangerous? I just got a carbon monoxide alarm and it IMMEDIATELY went off and showed 294?

That was in the lounge - it tested 282 in my bedroom and the dining room, 298 in the kitchen and 293 in the lounge! Just wondered if this is dangerous and what I should do about it? I know for a fact he Council (Leeds City Council/Aire Valley Homes) would not be bothered!
