Why does my boyfriend do this to me?

Okay, lately my boyfriend has been a really cold, insensitive jerk. When ever I have tried to talk to him about anything he basically rubs his head or leaves the room. Whenever I ask him to do anything he says he'll do it later and never does. So when I get feed up with his crap and just leave him alone, he comes in and says and does everything he can to start an argument with me. Insulting me, belittling me and then he through things up in my face from my past( that I mistakenly told him about) and when I feel completely drained, angry, depressed and physically differnet he gets up and leaves the room.
