How can i make this essay in a present form? [srry i no it's a lot to read :)?

You cannot write a history paper in the present-tense, because it happened in the past. You can present ideas, opinion, and other observations in the present tense however. Such has "Most historians call him a war hero." Or something along those lines. What was the ignment??
